November is here and the students of St.
Gerard are continuing to buckle down in PE class with another full month ahead
for all.
Our grades K-2 students are just finishing
up their unit on hopping and will begin a new unit on galloping. For most, this
is an easy movement skill to perform. We
will be playing a number of games in gym emphasizing our galloping skills.
The grades 4-8 students are continuing with
their volleyball unit. We have covered
bumping and serving along with playing a few games as well. We will be covering setting and spiking (for
the older students) over the next few weeks along with playing more games.
Grades 5-8 can expect a written test on the rules of volleyball at the end of
the unit.
November is the last month for STORM
volleyball. Our teams have been working
very hard on improving their individual and team skills. The month of November sees our teams playing
a lot of volleyball as they prepare for the end of the season. This also includes tournaments at St. Paul’s
and St. Alphonsus. Playoffs begin during the week of November 17th. For up-to-date results and standings you can

Looks like another busy month in the gym.
